Frequently Asked Questions
What is homeopathy?
Homeopathy is a gentle and holistic system of medicine that works with your body’s own intelligence to restore balance. It’s based on the principle that “like cures like” — a substance that can cause certain symptoms in a healthy person can help relieve those same symptoms when given in a minute, energetic dose. Each remedy is tailored to you — not just your diagnosis, but your whole story: your physical symptoms, emotional patterns, and how you uniquely experience life.
How does homeopathy work?
Homeopathic remedies act as a signal or “nudge” to the body’s innate healing response. Rather than forcing change or suppressing symptoms, they remind your system how to find its own rhythm again. Think of it as helping your body remember what balance feels like — physically, mentally, and emotionally.
How do I dose my remedies?
Each remedy comes with dosing instructions on the label. In general, take 2 drops or 2 pillules under the tongue. Avoid eating or drinking (especially coffee, mint, or strong flavours) for about 10–15 minutes before and after your dose to allow the remedy to absorb energetically. Less is often more in homeopathy — the energy of the remedy is what matters most, not the quantity.
For intense acute ailments, frequent dosing may be required, e.g. 2 drops
under the tongue every 15 minutes for an hour.
When symptoms start to improve, stop dosing and allow the body to continue to process.
If you do not experience any improvements after 2 doses, you may require a different remedy.
Are homeopathic remedies safe for babies, during pregnancy and breastfeeding and for the elderly?
Yes, homeopathy is one of the safest forms of natural medicine. Remedies are non-toxic and can be used gently alongside medical or naturopathic care. They’re safe for babies, children, pregnant or breastfeeding mothers and the elderly. Because each remedy is individually matched, dosing is always appropriate to the person’s sensitivity and stage of life.
How do I store my remedies?
Keep your remedies in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, strong smells, and electronic devices. Avoid touching the dropper, dripolator or pillules with your fingers. With proper care, remedies last for many years and retain their potency beautifully.
What is water dosing?
Water dosing is a gentle way to take your remedy when we want to fine-tune or soften its action. The remedy is added to a small bottle of water and succussed (gently tapped) before each dose to slightly alter its energetic strength. This method can be especially helpful for sensitive individuals, children, or chronic cases where slow, steady progress is ideal.
Water dosing is also helpful for intense acute ailments to stimulate the vital force and ignite healing.
